Section One – Your life right now

Q1. What are five things that you do really well?

Q2. What five things do you find most challenging at the moment?

Q3. What emotions, behaviours and physical signs do you usually experience that signal to you that things are going really well in your life?

Q4. When things are not going well, what emotions, behaviours and physical signs do you experience that tell you this?

Q5. In the last six months, what were your three best experiences?

Q6. In the last six months, were there any persistent obstacles that seemed to get in the way of achieving your goals?

Section Two – How you want things to be in the future

Let go of reality for a few moments and imagine that you have been given a magic wand to wave all over your life, fixing every aspect of it, until things are perfect. Keep going in your mind, until the life you’re picturing is ideal and nothing is standing in your way. Reach for the stars and have fun with this – there are no excuses, and no limits.

Q7. Wave the magic wand over your career, just for the next twelve months. Fix it so you love it! What are the top three differences?

Wave the wand again. Where has your ideal career taken you in five years’ time?

Just for fun, wave the wand over your current job, with the magic lasting just for the next 7 days. What are the top three changes that would make this week easier?

Q.8. Next, wave the wand over yourself, until you look, sound and feel exactly as you want to be.

How do you look, that is different?

What do you say (to yourself and/or to others), or how do you speak or sound, that is different?

How do you feel and act that is different?

Wave the wand over your family life and/or relationships? Fix things, magically. What top five differences do you notice?

What other changes do you notice about the ‘ideal you’?

Section Three – Are you ready to make a change?

Q.9. If someone handed you the magic wand for real, right now, would you:

a. Not think twice - grab it with both hands and start waving it around immediately while having a huge amount of fun in the process
b. Feel a little apprehensive then choose to accept the wand and use it carefully
c. Not feel sure whether you want to accept the wand – you do want to change some things but you’re not sure where to start
d. Definitely not accept the wand – you’re happy as things are

Q.10. Of all of the changes you listed above what are the first five things you want to transform? What is most important to you right now?

Q11. On a scale of 1 (being uncommitted) to 10 (being fully committed) how committed are you to making these changes?
